Sea Otter Robot (S.O.R)

This otter shaped, remote-controlled machine swims in the ocean collecting trash. It is powered by plant power and, really cleverly, the CO2 is filtered in through the ears and farted out safely as oxygen. Linden designed this to protect the vaquitas—an endangered porpoise.

Invention Story

The Idea!

It collects trash. It brings invasive fish home. It's controlled from a ship! In it are plants. They eat CO2 and fart out oxygen! The CO2 goes in the ear filters and the oxygen goes out the ear filters.

Linden has been using the Inventor's Log to think more about his idea and to tell us what he has learned about the ocean. We love the drawing that he has done of himself swimming with a vaquita.
