Simon has invented this brilliant boat that uses a large wheel with scoops to collect trash from the surface of the ocean. Cleverly, the turbines have been designed to generate energy so that the boat is self-charging.

Invention Story

The Idea!

The Clean Machine is an electric paddleboat with an electric scooper on the front that picks up waste. What makes the boat so special is that the electric engines are connected to turbine generators, so when the engines spin, so do the turbines, and the power is fed back into the engines. Basically, the boat is self-powered.

Simon has been telling us more about his invention with the Inventor's Log, and we love this great drawing of Simon enjoying the ocean.
