To protect rare and endangered creatures in the sea, Eric has designed a robot, the Octopus Slapper 2000. It swats away dangers and predators using its tentacles or repels them by squirting ink into the water.

The Idea!

It's a robotic octopus that protects fish by slapping away predators or shooting ink at them.

Eric has been using his Inventor's Log at home to tell us more about the inspiration behind this great invention and all the things that Eric has found out about the ocean through the challenge.

Robin teamed up with animator Jade to bring the Octopus Slapper 2000 to life through glass and animation. They met up with Eric again, to show their progress to the Little Inventor.

Eric has already started thinking about what inventions he would like to do next. We can't wait to see the angler fish trash collector!
